Wrexham Dental Practice Wins Prestigious Welsh Dental Award

Smiles were shining brightly in Cardiff as the very best of Wales' dental profession gathered to celebrate excellence in the inaugral Welsh Dental Awards. Held at the Hilton Hotel on 8th May and hosted by BBC Wales Presenter Behnaz Akhgar, the event recognised outstanding achievements across the Welsh dental sector. Amongst the biggest winners of the evening was Ruabon Road Dental Practice who proudly took home the coveted Patient Experience of the Year 2026 award. The newly established awards were created to celebrate the dedication,innovation and commitment shown by dental professionals across Wales. Co-founder Dr Zena Aseeley praised the winners' achievements hailing them as 'the best of the best'.

To be recognised by such an esteemed panel of industry professionals means a great deal to us. A team of nine representatives from Ruabon Road travelled to Cardiff for the Awards Ceremony. "I wanted every part of the practice to be represented because each member of the team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experience" said Practice Manager Suzanne Davies. The team that collected the prize was made up entirely of women, reflecting the growing role women are playing in shaping and leading modern dentistry in Wales. From clinicians and hygienists to nurses and administration staff the evening was an impressive moment for female empowerment within the profession.
Suzanne added "This has been a particularly challenging period for dental practices in Wales adjusting to the reformed NHS Wales contract. Winning this award is recognition of the hard work, commitment and investment our team has made to ensure that, despite the challenges and changes facing NHS dentistry we continue to provide outstanding care and an exceptional experience for both our NHS and private patients". The awards marks another milestone for Ruabon Road Dental Practice and highlights the exceptional standards of care being delivered to patients in Wrexham and across North Wales.
